March Section Meeting

Our next Section Meeting for 2018 will take place on Wednesday, March 28, at RPI. Dr. Jason Benedict from the University of Buffalo will be presenting a talk entitled Atoms in Motion: Creating and Characterizing Dynamic Crystalline Materials. Additional information on Dr. Benedict's research can be found here. The meeting will take place at RPI with the social hour in the Polymer Center Corridor featuring a cash bar and live music provided by The Collar City Combo. We will then move to the CBIS Auditorium lobby for dinner and the remaining portion of the meeting.

5:30 - 6:30 – Social Hour with cash bar and live jazz band in the Polymer Center Corridor

6:30 - 6:40 -- Walk to CBIS through Cogswell Laboratories (5 min walk)

6:40 - 7:30 -- Dinner in CBIS Auditorium Lobby

7:30 - 8:00 -- Business Meeting

8:00 - 9:00 -- Presentation by Dr. Jason Benedict, University of Buffalo

**The Polymer Center Cooridor is connected to the College Ave parking garage and guests can enter directly from the garage**


Buffet dinner featuring:

- Rolls & Butter

- House salad with dressing

- Chicken Parmesan

- Beef Meatballs & Marinara

- Vegetarian Lasagna

- Penne Pasta with Marinara & Vodka sauce

- Sauteed green & yellow squash

- Assorted Italian pastries and cookies for dessert

Please note that pre-registration is required. ENY-ACS events are cashless – payment must be made online during registration (preferred) or by check at the event.


$25 for employed attendees

$15 for graduate students

$10 for undergraduate students, retirees, and unemployed attendee
